Brad R. Anderson

Attorney

About Brad

Born and raised in Utah, Brad developed a deep respect for fairness, personal liberty, and the constitutional protections that safeguard individual rights. His path to criminal defense was shaped not by a single defining moment, but by a combination of personal experiences, formative moments, and core values that revealed how overwhelming and unforgiving the justice system can be without strong advocacy. During his undergraduate years, a close family member faced serious criminal charges. Witnessing the fear, confusion, and presumption of guilt firsthand solidified Brad’s commitment to standing between individuals and the immense power of the state.

In law school, Brad worked alongside some of the most prominent criminal defense attorneys in Utah, assisting on cases involving wrongful arrests, questionable police tactics, and disproportionate sentencing. These experiences reinforced his belief that the Sixth Amendment is not merely an abstract principle but a vital safeguard for everyone that must be defended. He later served on the defense team that secured the acquittal of a former Utah Attorney General and represented a defendant in one of the largest federal tax fraud cases in Utah history. High-profile cases like these, along with countless individual cases across the state, have strengthened his trial-focused, detail-driven approach.

Brad prepares every case as if it will go to trial, combining robust, multi-layered defense early with strategic negotiation to best serve his clients. His approach is rooted in fierce advocacy, respect, absolute confidentiality, unwavering honesty, and a deep commitment to protecting his clients’ constitutional rights and future. The most fulfilling part of his work is witnessing the profound positive impact: people reclaiming their futures, rebuilding their lives, or simply receiving basic fairness.

Outside the courtroom, Brad enjoys ice climbing, bow hunting, snowboarding, fly fishing, camping, and mountaineering.

Five-Star Rating

Brad provided excellent legal services for my case. He managed to get me a better outcome than anticipated (and better than a separate attorney I had retained on the issue initially). He was very professional, straightforward and most importantly to me, extremely successful in representing me. He went above and beyond and even resolved an unrelated additional issue for me with the court system. I highly recommend him.
